
Professional Engineer - Aircraft Tooling and GSE

- Serve as design and specification authority for aircraft tooling.
- Create and manage maintenance tasks, repair, and modification programs.
- Oversee tooling compliance to Australian and international standards.
- Liaise with OEMs to manage and extend tooling maintenance life.
- Lead engineering investigations and failure analysis for tooling issues.
- Monitor tool performance, develop improvement strategies, and assess tool reliability.
- Implement 3D modelling (CAD) and FEA (e.g. ANSYS, NASTRAN) in design validation.
- Research and assess advanced manufacturing (e.g. 3D printing) for tooling innovation.
- Ensure due diligence and safety through rigorous performance verification and testing.
- Manage the introduction of new tooling assets from concept to operational deployment.
- Maintain deviation tracking systems to manage OEM spec variations.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or equivalent).
- Experience in asset management and maintenance under ISO 55000.
- Sound understanding of Australian Standards, WHS, and Safety in Design.
- Demonstrated CAD and FEA software proficiency.
- Proven experience managing engineering projects in high-pressure environments.
- Ability to think analytically, solve problems, and lead continuous improvement.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills.
