Holy Spirit College is a Catholic co-educational secondary school located in the rapidly developing suburb of Fitzgibbon in North Brisbane, approximately 15km from Brisbane CBD. The College opened in January 2022 with 96 Year 7 students and will increase by one year level annually until we reach Year 12. The College is master planned for 1080 students.As a team, we are looking forward to developing further, the learning and teaching opportunities that will engage our students and build our teaching tools to deliver a dynamic and progressive curriculum. - Providing leadership in pastoral care for a designated group of students, ensuring their well-being aligns with the school's mission and values.
- Supervising teachers involved in student pastoral care, offering guidance and support for effective practices.
- Facilitating the induction process for new teachers within your area of responsibility or overseeing their induction when handled by other experienced staff.
- Monitoring students' holistic development, including their academic performance, social interactions, spiritual growth, and physical health, and addressing concerns through appropriate measures.
- Coordinating efforts among staff focused on student welfare, fostering teamwork and aligning activities with the school's ethos.
- Managing student behavior in line with the school's behavior management policies, promoting a safe and respectful environment.
- Proven ability to provide leadership in pastoral care, ensuring the well-being of students aligns with the school's ethos and values.
- Strong capability to monitor students' holistic development, addressing academic, social, spiritual, and physical concerns as necessary.
- Knowledge of behavior management practices to promote a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Experience in organizing and overseeing pastoral activities such as camps, retreats, or enrichment events, collaborating effectively with relevant personnel.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development, implementing best practices in student care and sharing insights with staff.
- Strong financial management skills, including budget planning and effective handling of material resources within your area of responsibility.
