Your RoleAs a Centre Cook, you will play a key role in creating a nurturing, healthy environment through food. You will:

Plan and prepare nutritious, seasonal meals and snacks
Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked kitchen
Order supplies and manage inventory
Communicate with educators to meet dietary needs
Support the centre’s mealtime routines and assist where needed
Be open to learning more about nutrition for different age groups, especially infants

A Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
Working with Children Blue Card
Strong knowledge of dietary requirements and allergy management
A practical understanding of food budgeting and planning
Cooking experience in early childhood settings is essential
A commitment to supporting children’s growth, development, and wellbeing through food
Ability to support special events within the centres
Experience completing all food safety program documentation
