About the roleWe are seeking an experienced Broadacre Agronomist to join the Elders Coonamble team on a permanent full-time basis. As part of a collaborative branch offering Real Estate, Finance & Insurance, Livestock and Agronomic services, you will provide technical and practical agronomic advice to support our broadacre clients in lifting productivity, profitability, and sustainability.In this role, you will maintain and grow a portfolio of clients by building trusted relationships and delivering tailored solutions that incorporate sustainable farming practices and the latest ag tech innovations. You’ll also work closely with the wider Elders team to identify cross-selling opportunities across our retail and agency offerings, ensuring clients benefit from our full range of services.ResponsibilitiesAs an Elders Agronomist, you will:Deliver agronomic advice and farm planning support across soil testing, monitoring, crop selection, and input recommendationsWork closely with clients to understand their business needs and identify cross-selling opportunities across retail and agency offeringsBuild and maintain strong, ongoing relationships with a portfolio of existing and prospective clientsUndertake regular farm visits to provide product recommendations and technical supportPromote Elders’ products and services through field days, trials, and grower meetingsSupport business growth through client acquisition and proactive sales activityContribute to inventory management and assist with product forecastingAbout youTo succeed at Elders, you:Tertiary qualifications in Agricultural Science or a related field, and AgSafe accreditation (or currently completing)Previous experience in a sales agronomy or similar customer-facing agricultural roleStrong commercial acumen and the ability to identify cross-selling opportunitiesA customer-first approach and strong relationship-building skillsExcellent verbal and written communication with internal and external stakeholdersAbility to work independently in the field and as part of a broader teamFamiliarity with digital farm planning tools and systemsAbout EldersAs a trusted Australian agribusiness, we have played an important role in the agricultural sector for over 185 years.
