About the roleWe are seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Level 2 to join our dynamic medical imaging team. This pivotal role calls for advanced practice in molecular imaging and theranostic procedures using state-of-the-art Nuclear Medicine equipment, all performed with minimal supervision. Your work will be integral to delivering complex diagnostic services, contributing to accurate clinical decision-making and improved patient outcomes. You'll work within an environment that values precision, innovation and collaboration across disciplines.As a senior member of the team, you'll also provide professional guidance to fellow technologists, including new graduates and students on clinical placement. Your mentoring and support will foster a learning culture and enhance professional development across the unit. The role also includes involvement in approved research activities and departmental quality assurance programs-giving you the opportunity to advance the field through continuous improvement and innovation in imaging practices.About YouYou're an experienced and forward-thinking Nuclear Medicine Technologist with a passion for advanced imaging practices and a commitment to patient-centred care. Your qualifications, skills and initiative position you to thrive in a high-performing team and contribute meaningfully to diagnostic excellence and clinical training.Hold a recognised degree in Medical Radiation Science (or equivalent), with current registration as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia, and are licensed or eligible for licences under the Radiation Protection and Control Act, SA 2021.Demonstrate proficiency in complex molecular imaging and theranostic procedures, patient preparation and care, and quality assurance processes across varied clinical scenarios.Bring strong communication, teamwork and leadership capabilities, with the ability to teach, mentor, and collaborate positively across all levels of staff and students.Possess comprehensive knowledge of safe radiation practices, RIS and PACS operation, cultural awareness in patient care, and relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.About usStatewide Clinical Support Services (SCSS) is a unique public healthcare organisation that serves health consumers and provides specialist clinical services to the health system in South Australia.
