UGL is an employer with a difference, jump on board and experience our incredible journeyAbout the roleThis role will be working on the North East Link project, currently Victoria’s biggest infrastructure project, in helping UGL design, develop and commission our internally developed control system that is responsible for operating and monitoring the tunnel’s critical plant and traffic systems, control rooms and ICT infrastructure.About the roleThis role will perform the design and engineering function for projects and is accountable to the Head of Engineering. Within the project this role will report to a Design Manager. It is responsible for managing the timely delivery of the design, procurement, construction and commissioning documentation as related to projects.· Ensure a common approach to design templates, interface management, design deliverables, reporting and delivery program management;· Ensure that all necessary reviews, verifications and validations are planned and conducted, and the outcomes of these are incorporated into the design;· Participate in design review meetings and close out design issues with reviewers in a timely manner· Provide all necessary support to the procurement, construction and commissioning teamsAbout you· Degree qualification to Bachelor status in engineering (electrical, electronics or mechatronics preferred)· 1-5 years experience in the industry (in infrastructure, technology or related market verticals)· PLC, SCADA, and HMI experience across the major Vendor platforms - Rockwell, Siemens, and Schneider is highly desirable.· Ability to read technical documentation, write technical reports and interpret technical requests.· Experience with industrial automation and control systems; an understanding of general automation systems, automation and communication system architectures and keen expand their knowledge around complex systems is highly desirable.· Strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.· Excellent oral and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands.UGL – Big projects.
