This health service consists of two main health campuses and three smaller hospitals. The 100-bed general hospital is the largest regional public hospital in WA. It services more than 50,000 residents as well as outlying towns, and rural and remote communities.The Mental Health Service consists of a 6-bed inpatient unit and community services for all ages. Consultation and liaison services are provided to the general hospital and other small hospitals in the region.The Job
- As a Consultant Psychiatrist specialising in Child and Adolescent Mental Health, you will provide psychiatric assessment, treatment, and management for children and adolescents (0-18 years) and their families addressing a range of presentations to a diverse patient population
- You will collaborate with the Regional Manager of Mental Health, the Director of Clinical Services, and the CAMHS team leader to offer consultation and clinical advice to multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in the teaching of medical graduates and undergraduates, nursing and allied health staff
- Experience a great work-life balance with a work roster that operates during standard business hours, Monday to Friday, from 08:30 to 16:30 without on-call responsibilities
- You will collaborate closely with Aboriginal communities, expanding cultural awareness, and actively contributing to cultural safety practices
- Regular travel between sites is required, as well as conducting outreach services
- Remuneration package $375,863 - $477,339 p.a inclusive of base salary, a professional development allowance of $31,926 per annum, and an 11% employer contribution towards superannuation.
