- Demonstrated previous administration or secretarial experience with fast and efficient typing skill
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including excellent interpersonal skills and a strong customer service approach.
- Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
- Well-developed skills in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint, including a knowledge of patient administration systems.
- Experience working in a health care setting with a knowledge of medical terminology, or a willingness to work towards.
- Ability to be compassionate with a demonstrated sensitive approach when dealing with patients and carers, including a commitment to maintaining confidentiality at all times.
- Ability to perform a wide range of administrative tasks, including flexibility in working across different areas and enabling adjustments to workflow as required.
