Reporting into the National Contracts Manager, the Category Specialist will join our Procurement team to lead strategic initiatives and drive performance improvements across high-volume procurement activities.This pivotal role is focused on delivering exceptional commercial outcomes and enhancing operational efficiency.Location Options:

South Guildford, WA
Tomago, NSW

Roster: Monday - Friday, 8.5-hour days (Including half-hour meal break)What You'll Do:

Develop and maintain a strategic overview of industry trends
Collaborate with supply partners to monitor and review contract KPIs
Lead strategic planning initiatives to transform the category
Ensure contract compliance and assess vendor performance

Skills & Experience:

Tertiary qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, Category Management, or a related field
Strong background in contract lifecycle management
Knowledge of advanced sourcing strategies
Exceptional attention to detail
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Familiarity with SAP ARIBA or similar ERP systems
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
Industry experience in mining, construction, forestry, infrastructure, manufacturing, or engineering (desirable)
