- Develop and implement holistic, strength-based individualised case plans for participants, including referrals to supplementary services.
- Assist participants in transitioning from correctional settings into the community, including securing accommodation, building life skills, and strengthening social connections.
- Apply specialised knowledge to manage complex participants and support positive behavioural and personal outcomes.
- Respond to referrals, undertake initial registrations, formal assessments, and evaluate participants’ suitability for support.
- Contribute to the planning, coordination, and delivery of training programs and activities aligned with participant needs and program guidelines.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal teams, external service providers, and community stakeholders to improve participant outcomes.
- Maintain accurate participant records, complete reports and data entry, and ensure compliance with Mission Australia protocols and statutory requirements.
- Undertake occasional travel by road, including to remote locations, to meet participant and program needs.
- Relevant degree with at least 1 year of experience, or Associate Diploma with relevant experience, or equivalent expertise gained through substantial industry experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance to access Northern Territory Correctional Centres.
- Experience working with diverse participant groups, particularly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, and understanding cultural protocols.
- Experience in justice or community services sectors, including trauma-informed, person-centred approaches.
- Ability to manage a complex caseload and provide specialised interventions.
- Strong knowledge of statutory requirements and ability to maintain program compliance.
- Excellent engagement, listening, and relationship-building skills with participants and stakeholders.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication, including administrative and reporting skills.
- Positive, person-centred approach with belief in individuals’ capacity to grow and self-right.
