Are you a night owl who loves transforming empty rooms into something spectacular? We’re looking for a Banquets & Events Set-Up Attendant to help bring our conferences, weddings, and special events to life. This role is primarily focused on event set-up and pack-down during overnight shifts (6pm–6am). You’ll be the person behind the scenes making sure every chair, table, and piece of equipment is exactly where it needs to be according to the Event Order (EO). While much of the work is independent, you’ll also support the floor team during service when required, so teamwork, flexibility, and attention to detail are key.Key Responsibilities
- Set up, pack down, and reset banquet and event spaces according to Event Orders and floor plans.
- Work independently to ensure overnight room changes and turnarounds are completed on time.
- Maintain event equipment, furniture, and storerooms in a clean, organised, and safe condition.
- Support the Banquets floor team with food & beverage service during events as required.
- Follow manual handling, WHS, and RSA requirements, ensuring safe and professional event delivery.
- Liaise with supervisors to confirm setups, last-minute changes, and ensure events run seamlessly.
- Ability to read and follow Event Orders (EOs) and floor plans with accuracy.
- Comfortable working independently and overnight shifts (6pm–6am).
- Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting, moving, and setting up furniture and equipment.
- Hospitality, banquets, or events experience preferred but not essential.
- RSA qualification (or willingness to obtain).
- Team player with a can-do attitude who can also step into service when required.
