This business is a manufacturing business of windows and doors based in Smithfield who are looking for Storeperson to control the warehouse operation of the despatch i.e.: stock control, inwards goods, receipting, deliveries and checking of paperwork and making sure all items have been delivered.Your day will consist of working in dispatch to assist within the warehouse of either forklift driving or manually preparing aluminum extrusions for the production team to manufacturer windows and doors onto trucks to be ready for the delivery runs.This role is a Temp to Perm ongoing role, with potential for you to go onto the customers payroll after a successful 6-month probation periodTasks & ResponsibilitiesEnsure all despatch processes are efficient and to the highest quality standardsLoad and unload of deliveries operating a forkliftMonitor work schedules and ensure on-time completion of tasksMaintain a safe and organised work environmentCollaborate with Production Supervisor to optimise despatch processesIdentify and report any quality or safety issuesParticipate in regular team meetings to discuss progress and improvementsExperience & QualificationsWarehouse, Distribution or Manufacturing backgroundStock control, cycle counts, stock takes and operate a computerHandle raw materials i.e.: glass, aluminum, hardware or timberProblem-solving and decision-making abilitiesSafety-conscious with a proactive approach to workplace safetyIf you are a motivated individual who can drive productivity, and deliver quality results, we want to hear from you.
