The company was founded on May 29, 1933 and is headquartered in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.Job SummaryWe are seeking an Enterprise Architect to join the IT Strategy & Technology Planning Division. The IT Strategy & Technology Planning Division is responsible for providing IT strategic directions, technology roadmaps, investment strategies, service models, and solutions architectures covering all Digital & IT disciplines such as Computing, Communication, Application, and Information Protection. The Enterprise Architect primary role is to develop strategic Digital and IT roadmaps, define applications and technology architecture required to deliver and enable core business capabilities; optimizing short- and long-term architecture plans, identifying new IT capabilities that leverage the installed base technologies and solutions, and developing plans and programs to introduce new IT services ensuring alignment with business demands and company digital transformation initiatives.Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with Business and Leadership Stakeholders to Develop Strategy
  • Lead analysis of the business' future-state capabilities and Digital & IT environment to detect critical gaps and opportunities
  • Recommend solutions for improvement to drive the business towards its targeted outcomes
  • Lead analysis of the IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions
  • Develop an implementation plan for enterprise architecture based on business requirements
  • Facilitate alignment between business and Digital & IT, connecting strategy to execution
  • Visualize the future state and trigger long-term planning through storytelling
  • Define Digital & IT's technology architecture and develop roadmaps
  • Identify important Digital & IT technology trends impacting the Company's business
  • Define adoption plans for introducing new technologies or switching between them
  • Provide consultation on complex Digital & IT-related matters to other entities or business units
  • Develop Technology Statements of Direction as applicable
  • Identify new Digital & IT capabilities leveraging existing technologies
  • Ensure enabling technologies for consistent Digital & IT architecture
  • Align Digital & IT master appropriations and capital projects with technology roadmaps
  • Review compliance of Digital & IT plans against technology roadmaps
  • Participate in Technology obsolescence reviews and conduct technology updates
  • Provide consultation on technologies and solution architectures
  • Coordinate external technology consultations and refresh workshops
  • Originate ideas for enhancing Digital & IT solutions, efficiency, and user service
  • Ensure technical work meets accepted professional and internal computing standards
  • Drive evolution of EA team's services and operating model
  • Build EA value proposition as internal management consultancy supporting business strategy
  • Communicate the value of enterprise architecture and its services
  • Coach and mentor other architects.
Requirements:
  • Willingness to permanently relocate to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Communication Engineering, or Software Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
  • Possess a minimum of 12 years of experience in Digital and IT systems analysis, programming, computing hardware, cloud computing architecture, mobile software implementation, data networking, telecommunication, and information protection, with at least 10 years applying EA frameworks, designing Digital and IT solution architecture, performing quality assurance, analyzing investment strategies, developing Digital and IT services costing structures and TCOs, and designing Digital and IT integration platforms.
  • Education: Master's or Bachelor's Degree in disciplines such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Information Systems (CIS), Engineering, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • Experience: At least 12 years of industrial work experience in complex Digital & IT environments, including digital transformation, systems analysis, programming, computing hardware, software implementation, and mission-critical facilities. Eight or more years of business experience in strategic and operations planning and/or business analysis or experience as an enterprise architecture consultant.
  • Language skills: Excellent spoken and written English is essential, with knowledge of Arabic desirable. Ability to compose and edit concise, well-organized reports and presentations for various management levels.
  • Requires a high level of professionalism, maturity, multidiscipline technical knowledge, and interpersonal skills to manage senior personnel. Must possess business knowledge and acumen to select appropriate Digital & IT solutions. Excellent negotiation, influencing, and moderating skills.
  • Knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, SOA, APIs, open data, microservices, event-driven IT, and predictive analytics.
  • Understanding of business models, operating models, financial models, cost-benefit analysis, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture tools, graphical models, and frameworks.
  • Insight into information management practices, system development life cycle management, IT services management, agile and lean methodologies, infrastructure and operations, EA, and ITIL frameworks.
  • Understanding of operating models (project-centric and product-centric) and various agile principles, methodologies, and frameworks scaled at the enterprise level.
