
CHPP Operator / Maintainer - Mechanical

- Daily operation of the CHPP plant in accordance with Sedgman procedures, achieving CHPP performance targets.
- Conduct breakdown maintenance when necessary.
- Inspect operational equipment regularly to detect defects early and take corrective actions.
- Perform routine plant inspections to assess the condition and plan necessary maintenance work.
- Clear blockages in pipe work, pumps, chutes, screens, boxes, distributors, crushers, breakers, overloaded conveyors, sumps, and tanks.
- Maintain cleanliness by clearing spillages and washing down areas to uphold housekeeping standards.
- Safely operate mobile equipment in and around fixed and mobile plant, run-of-mine, and product stockpiles.
- Trade Qualified - Australian recognised Electrical or Mechanical Qualification.
- Committed to working rotating shifts - day and night rosters.
- Prior work experience in mining, civil, or an industrial environment is essential.
- Live in the Upper Hunter Valley, NSW, or nearby region, or be willing to relocate.
- Known for being a positive and safety conscious team player.
- Supervisor training: G1, G89, G9 (formerly S123) - desired but not essential.
