The Case Management Officer is responsible for supporting WorkCover WA Arbitrators by liaising with parties involved in matters before the Arbitration Service to assist with the administrative aspects of the arbitration process.The position is responsible for the delivery of a variety of tasks, including:
  • Liaison with external parties involved in matters before the Arbitration Service to provide advice on arbitration processes, practices and procedures;
  • Provision of case management support to Arbitrators, including the scheduling of hearings (both in-person and remote);
  • Obtaining relevant information from parties to support the timely and efficient resolution of disputes; and
  • Ensuring procedural compliance with the Workers Compensation and Injury Management Arbitration Rules 2024.
To be successful in this position prospective applicants should possess:
  • Experience in, or ability to learn, case management procedures and arbitration processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to constructively work independently, and as a member of a team, to achieve outcomes and meet targets in an environment of competing timeframes
  • High-level communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate persuasively to bring about cooperation.
  • Well-developed analytical skills with capacity to understand and apply legislation.
  • Experience working in, or the ability to learn to work in, an electronic or digital environment using Office 365 or similar
