This role would be ideal for an established leader in radiochemistry, global SME with radioisotope separation, production and processing experience.Duties will include:
- Lead a small team of R&D scientists to identify and develop new separation strategies to purify Th-228 used to support the production of clinical and research radiopharmaceuticals
- Provide scientific and technical expertise to support the growth of the Pb-212 production program, from Method development on the purification and handling of Th-228, automation translation, scaling production, and GMP-compliant manufacturing.
- Assist in developing chemical, radiochemical and radionuclide characterisation methods.
- Act as subject matter expert on methods that have been translated to production methods.
- Work with cross-functional teams including Management, Operations and Engineering identifying opportunities to optimise production processes and enhance efficiency.
- BS, MS or PhD in chemistry, or relevant field with analytical or radiochemistry experience
- Experience with radionuclide development and/or production preferred.
- Experience with separations and solid-phase extractions or automation.
- Experience with ICPMS and HPGe Spectrometry or like methods
- Experience with alpha/beta/gamma emitting radionuclides preferred.
- Experience in team management/ leadership highly advantageous
- Multi-disciplined radiochemist with GMP experience, preferrable.
- Ability to express technical topics clearly and concisely.
- This is a full time permanent role.
- The generous salary will be dependent on experience, plus bonus scheme.
