The Assistant Minister will take the lead in our ministries to youth and young adults, as well as potentially our evening congregation. The Assistant Minister will preach regularly throughout our congregations, as well as lead worship services, and serve with their specific gifts.We're also open to dividing this role, and appointing suitably gifted people to lead our ministries with youth, young adults, and preaching and ministering in our wider church family and parish community. We're open to exploring how these ministries could be led by people serving full time, part time, or as students or trainees.About YouYou must be a wholehearted and devoted disciple of Jesus, who has been soundly discipled and trained in the truth of the gospel, and who will speak from the overflow of your heart;You must be gifted by the Holy Spirit to preach, to lead, and to minister with young people;You must have passionate, heartfelt, spirit inspired enthusiasm to see young people within the household of God grow up in the faith and grow in their intimate knowledge of God, and to see lost young people in our parish community come to meet Jesus for themselves;You’ll need to have good theological training, or a willingness to undertake theological training;For a full time Assistant Minister ordination, or openness to ordination would be ideal;A willingness and eagerness to immerse yourself in this church and parish community is essential;For ministry with youth and young adults, you must have the capacity for the high energy, and late nights of ministry with youth and young adults;You must be able to be licensed by the Archbishop for parish ministry, and meet all safe ministry requirements;You must be eligible to reside and work in Australia.To ApplyPlease send a letter introducing yourself, and expressing your interest and suitability for this role, along with a CV including two referees toEmployment ArrangementsWe would love for the suitable candidate/s to commence the role/s near the end of this year, or the start of next year.
