It fuels our innovation, promotes flexible ways of working and connects us closer to our members and the communities we serve.Job DescriptionNRMA Tow Truck Operators play a critical role in supporting our members across Australia by helping to keep them safe and moving.You will be part of a dedicated and friendly team responsible for responding to road service calls, loading, transporting and unloading vehicles across the Greater Sydney Metropolitan area. You’ll be the ‘face of help’ representing our brand on the road, with your professional, safety and solution focused approach.Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Create exceptional member experiences through every interaction with members and the community.
  • Be a team player contributing to the success of the team by maintaining a positive and excellent attitude towards your work, giving support to fellow team members.
  • Understand and drive superior safety practices - following safe working procedures to ensure the highest levels of safety are achieved.
  • Demonstrate self-leadership – motivated by driving your own development, keeping up with new technical skills and industry trends.
  • Utilise Towing and Transportation safe practices to analyse the vehicle breakdown position and identify the most appropriate action to recover, secure and transport the vehicle in accordance with Safe Working Procedures and the Tow Truck Industry regulations.
Qualifications
  • A full valid NSW Medium Rigid Driver’s License (or higher)
  • A valid Tow Truck Driver’s Certificate or be eligible to obtain one prior to commencement. It is highly recommended that you apply for your Certificate at the time of job application to avoid delays -
Please note: completing this does not guarantee you a position at the NRMA). * Flexibility to work on a rotating roster over a 7-day week (including public holidays) – for 12-hour shifts between 6:00am – 10:00pm
  • Exceptional customer service and demonstrated experience to work effectively with a broad spectrum /diverse range of groups and people.
  • Strong communication and active listening skills
  • A flexible and robust attitude, together with a positive mindset
  • An ability to adapt to change and work within new and changing parameters.
