As a Pavement Quality Technician for our Eastern Region Surfacing teams, you will be responsible for monitoring asphalt compaction for density testing and field testing of asphalt. This position is a permanent full-time opportunity and will require regular travel, working nights and weekends through-out our peak season.We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable individual who is willing to learn on the job working with our operations based within in the Sydney Metropolitan, Kembla Grange and Bushells Ridge surfacing teamsThis position will see you:
- Communicating with the Site Engineer and Supervisor for daily duty assignments.
- Work with the Asphalt Paving Foreman and Roller Operators on roller patterns to achieve optimum compaction through use of a Pavement Quality Indicator (PQI).
- Troubleshoot, identify, correct, and prevent quality control issues, together with reporting and record keeping.
