SeaLink Tasmania is on the lookout for enthusiastic and safety-conscious Traffic Marshalls to join our team for the upcoming summer season.About the RoleAs a Traffic Marshall, you’ll be responsible for guiding the flow of vehicles and pedestrians, ensuring a safe and efficient lead-up to boarding before our vessel crew takes over. In this key role, you’ll provide friendly, helpful service that makes every customer’s journey easier and more enjoyable.A regular day in the life of a Traffic Marshall may look like:
  • Direct and Divert Traffic inline with company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with vessel crew and other traffic personnel to ensure safe movement
of traffic. * Maintain communications with the site office and ferries to assist in a smoothoperation. * Provide clear and concise communication to the public, customers and drivers.
  • Preserve pedestrian and traffic routes as far as reasonably practicable in the
surrounding areas, attempting to reduce impact on the local community. * Ensure the highest levels of personal presentation and groomingAbout YouYou’re a confident communicator who enjoys working outdoors and being part of a team. You take pride in delivering excellent customer service while keeping safety front of mind. Calm under pressure and adaptable, you can handle busy environments with a positive attitude.
