About UsHitachi Construction Machinery (Australia) Pty Ltd is a leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment.The OpportunityWe are currently seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our Field Service team based out of our Somerton branch. Reporting to the Branch Coordinator, this role will see you providing quality diagnostic, repair and maintenance services to our customer's equipment in the field.Key responsibilities include:
  • Providing onsite technical support on Hitachi earthmoving equipment including diagnostics, repair and maintenance
  • Providing exceptional customer service to our customers
  • Ensure your work sites are kept tidy, and all paperwork is up to date
  • Conducting your work in compliance with all quality and safety standards and procedures
To be successful in the role, you will have:
  • Relevant Trade Qualification - Certificate III in a Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent discipline (Diesel Mechanic).
  • Earthmoving equipment experience highly regarded
  • Current driver's license
  • Ability to work autonomously and proactively solve technical issues
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication skills and customer service etiquette
  • An uncompromising commitment to quality workmanship and safety policies and procedures
