We are seeking a Technical Director - Electrical (Principal Engineer level), to join our dynamic South Queensland Power Team. In this rewarding role you would provide technical leadership, directorship of power projects, technical development and mentoring of developing team members, strategic operational support, as well as internal capability building through work winning activities and priority project delivery.
Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Leveraging expertise in electrical engineering principles to drive sustainable and impactful energy solutions, contributing significantly to the evolution of clean energy integration.
- Spearheading the development and implementation of innovative solutions, ensuring seamless connectivity, and optimizing the performance of renewable energy sources within the grid infrastructure.
- Degree level qualifications in Electrical Engineering.
- Be a recognized authority in HV Substation Design and renewable energy development, with RPEQ. We are ideally looking for someone with minimum 15+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of technical design standards and demonstrated experience in design and delivery of large-scale substation and transmission/distribution projects.
- Practical understanding of QLD utility power requirements and operational Constraints.
- Eligible for defence clearance to lead defence projects.
- Skilled in nurturing developing engineering talent while steering challenging infrastructure projects to successful completion.
- Proven ability to collaborate within multi-disciplinary project teams - managing stakeholder engagement.
- Strong relationship building skills, and client oriented.
- Ability to work on complex projects, making confident decisions from concept level to detail design.
