Our client is a government department seeking a highly skilled Azure Administrator / Cloud Solution Architect to join their Cloud Transition journey. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the transformation of legacy systems into a modern, cloud-native environment while supporting the maturity uplift of a large-scale Azure subscription.🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Lead the redesign and migration of legacy systems to Microsoft Azure.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define system requirements and constraints.
- Architect and implement cloud-native solutions and re-architect legacy services.
- Administer and optimise Azure environments for performance, security, and cost.
- Develop repeatable deployment patterns for Azure services (VMs, databases, storage).
- Ensure compliance with government security frameworks and best practices.
- Monitor and improve cloud service performance.
- Participate in Change Advisory Boards and Architecture Review Groups.
- Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing.
- Proven experience as an Azure Administrator and Cloud Solution Architect.
- Strong background in managing operational service catalogues on Azure.
- Relevant qualifications in IT, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Skilled in documenting technical requirements and system configurations.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with hybrid identity environments (Active Directory, Entra ID, etc.).
- Ability to work collaboratively across technical and non-technical teams.
