About the roleMater Pathology currently has an opportunity for an experienced manager to join our team as our Pathology Collections Billing & Business Development Manager. This exciting opportunity will be based at our South Brisbane campus where you will be offered a 12-month maximum term contract working 38 hours a week.As the Collections Billing & Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality pre-analytical services to our patients and customers. You will lead a team of Collection Supervisors and Billing Coordinators, overseeing the customer-facing collections processes and back-end billing functions.With over 100 years of experience, Mater Pathology is Queensland's leading not-for-profit pathology provider, at the forefront of innovation providing a broad spectrum of unique pathology expertise through its highly skilled cohesive team of pathologists and scientific, technical and administration staff.Salary range: $62.74 - $67.20 per hour plus 12% superannuation and +What you'll be doing

Supervising collections processes in both inpatient and collection centres
Managing billing back-office functions
Overseeing business development initiatives
Building and maintaining relationships with customers and stakeholders
Ensuring compliance with NATA, NPAAC, and Medicare requirements
Managing team members, budgets, and service performance
Driving continuous improvement in business processes
Leading teams through periods of change
Managing operational budgets and resource allocations
Identifying and addressing compliance and risk issues
Collaborating with key stakeholders for business development
Providing leadership and coaching to team members
Ensuring delivery of quality outcomes aligned with Mater's strategic plan

About you

5-10 years of management experience in a Hospital/Healthcare setting
Experience in a laboratory for healthcare diagnostic services desirable
Strong leadership and communication skills
Proven track record in managing teams and driving results
Knowledge of accreditation, compliance processes, and risk management
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
Commitment to continuous improvement and excellence
