Work in a busy, multicultural setting with a leading public healthcare provider in Northern AustraliaWe are recruiting on behalf of a prominent public hospital network in Northern Territory, offering a unique opportunity to work across General Medicine and Geriatrics in a collaborative and culturally rich environment.About the RoleThis hybrid position offers flexibility and the chance to contribute to both acute general medicine and geriatric care. You'll be working across two well-respected facilities, including a major tertiary hospital and a regional center that champions innovation in aged care.You will lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex inpatient cases, with a strong focus on discharge planning and continuity of care. This role is ideally suited to a dual-qualified FRACP specialist with a passion for culturally responsive care and leadership in challenging clinical settings.Key Responsibilities
- Consultant-level care for inpatients in a General Medical Unit
- Geriatric service across:
- Acute Care of the Elderly ward
- Geriatric Evaluation & Management (GEM) ward
- Interim Care Unit
- Active involvement in junior doctor supervision and team leadership
- Champion safe, timely discharge and community engagement strategies
- Work collaboratively within a multicultural team environment
- Specialist registration with AHPRA
- Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in:
- General and Acute Care Medicine AND
- Geriatric Medicine
- Demonstrated leadership in multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication and cultural competency skills
- Attractive Salary Package: $248,765 - $304,012 p.a.
