Job Category: Technology EngineeringJob Description:Create your best future and join Westpac as a DevOps EngineerWhat's the role?An exciting opportunity is available for a DevOps Engineer to join the Enterprise DevOps Team. This role is responsible for designing, building, and supporting new DevOps pipelines, templates, tools, and services, with a focus on creating repeatable patterns and a reusable library of components. This role plays a key part in advancing our cloud orchestration capabilities.The ideal candidate will bring experience in development and/or DevOps, with a strong understanding of Azure and/or AWS. Solutions must be fit for purpose, scalable, and operationally ready to support platform consumers and dependent orchestrations. Familiarity with Agile methodologies at scale is essential, along with a demonstrated ability to enhance and improve the processes under your responsibility.What do I need?

Strong experience working in and building CI/CD pipelines at enterprise scale.
Strong familiarity with Linux (RHEL) and Windows operating systems administration, databases and networking.
Provable experience with delivering solutions with Ruby or Python.
Expertise in Chef/Ansible along with the HashiCorp tools stack.
Establish and maintain automated build, test and deployment pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.
Solution development and infrastructure deployment experience via automated pipelines.
DevOps Pipeline and Test automation framework integration. Experience in software application testing with a developer-focused approach.
Familiarity with infrastructure observability and monitor tooling like ELK or Splunk.
Managing tools, host configuration, troubleshooting, upgrade and decommissioning.
Administering DevOps practices and executing day-to-day operations from development to production.
Skilled at working with diverse teams and stakeholders, while also able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
