  • Advise and counsel company leadership on public policy and governmental matters, including pending legislation/regulations and any policy initiatives which may have potential implications to Varian/Siemens Healthineers.
  • In partnership with Varian leaders and business unit stakeholders, shape an impactful government relations and public policy strategy and agenda, prioritising relevant resources, actions and outcomes.
  • Develop strong relationships with trade organizations and strategic industry groups in order to influence legislation, regulations and policies which may affect the industry, in order to advance Varian’s interests.
  • Engage appropriately with key government officials, staff, administrative agencies and other organizations as it relates to ANZ on issues of importance, such as expanding access to radiotherapy, reimbursement of radiotherapy equipment and treatments, and regulatory approval of relevant technologies.
  • Assist and guide government business transactions with Ministries of Health, Finance and other related government agencies
  • Work in tandem with government and industry leaders to influence public policy, monitor government initiatives and advocate for specific plans to advance Varian objectives.
  • Collaborate with educational institutions, symposia, government agencies, and radiotherapy thought leaders to improve the adoption of best clinical practices.
  • Manage and balance internal resources.
