Are you ready to ride with us and make it legendary?General InformationJob TitleFinance and Insurance Consultant (FIC)Department NameHarley-Davidson Financial Services (H-DFS)LocationMelbourne (Preferred), Sydney, AustraliaPosition Reports toHDFS ANZ Country Operations Manager or HDFS AP DirectorCareer BandConsultant / ProfessionalPosition SummaryThe Finance and Insurance Consultant (FIC) will meet established financial and non-financial targets, maximizing business opportunities in the areas of Retail finance sales (both new and used), retail insurance product sales including, but not limited to, comprehensive, Tyre & Wheel, Loan protection and GAP as well as any other additional products that may be added as business opportunities evolve including extended warranty, credit cards, commercial lending etc.The FIC will be a trusted business advisor for the dealer network (within their assigned territory). They will effectively manage the day-to-day relationship; being the interface between the business, our dealer network and our finance, insurance, warranty and other providers, ensuring activities and priorities are aligned to the organization’s key objectives and facilitate growth. They would also ne required to take projects that aim at introducing new capabilities to market or uplifting existing programs or capabilities.Key Results Areas
- Building trusting relationships and influencing key stakeholders (the finance & insurance product providers, HDFS, HD and the dealership network).
- Analyzing sales of finance, insurances and other products to identify gaps and implement best practice, maximizing mutual value.
- Developing an understanding of the dealers’ needs as it relates to available products and building individual plans for dealership.
- Working with product suppliers to build new products and campaigns as well as follow-up activities to ensure the success of these initiatives.
- Being a subject matter expert for the dealers. This requires extensive product and system knowledge, mentoring dealership personnel where required.
- Provide regular training to dealer staff on a need assessment basis. Design and deliver training program that keeps the dealer staff across dealerships informed, upskilled, motivated and engaged.
- Providing accurate and timely information updates and training to the dealerships.
- Maintaining an understanding of competitors’ and their products.
- Reporting as required.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Act promptly when made aware of an WHS issue (risk, hazard, near miss or injury).
- Overall 10+ years of working experience.
- Typically requires a minimum of 5+ years of related experience, either:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong influencing (and negotiation) skills.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Well-developed presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and obtain results with limited, direct supervision.
- Financial acumen.
- I.T. skill including intermediate level on the MS Office suite of software.
- Demonstrated ability to take the initiative, think strategically and execute plans in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Ability to travel frequently, occasionally for extended periods. Travel is an inherent part of this position and essential to fulfil the role’s responsibilities.
- Self-driven person, motivated to work as an individual contributor.
