Reporting to the Assistant Manager & Director of Housekeeping, this role is responsible for leading a large team of Room Attendants, Public Area team members and Supervisors to success by facilitating coaching and training across operational standards, service excellence, as well as health, safety & compliance in cleaning duties.You'll bring a strong understanding of luxury service standards and a commitment to continuous improvement and team development, and will be key to delivering the service standards and expectations set by the Hotel Management team, ensuring that work completed by the housekeeping department achieves consistently positive guest satisfaction scores and feedback. This role plays a large part in the ongoing development of team members, where you'll share feedback with team members to uplift capability and standards, address concerns and feedback provided by guests, conduct investigations and execute action plans to close gaps.Some of the key responsibilities will involve:
  • Delivering and facilitating training in-line with Crown service and hotel standards to meet guest expectations
  • Maintaining standards and operational excellence through ongoing coaching and development of team
  • Communicating and collaborating with other hotel departments and broader business units (recruitment, workforce planning, learning & development, people and culture etc)
  • Driving and embedding a service-oriented culture from onboarding and throughout the employee lifecycle
  • Executing training and monitoring training records, whilst tracking progress and performance of the team
  • Completing daily audits and quality control via inspections of assigned rooms, corridors and service areas
  • Providing regular briefings to the leadership team and senior management on housekeeping activity and training calendars
  • Assisting with recruitment, rostering, onboarding and performance management of team members
You'll have:
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role, within a fast-paced hotel environment (luxury background is preferred)
  • Working experience within a premium environment, with knowledge of luxury operations and expectations
  • Proven ability in training and developing Hotel Housekeeping employees or similar operational teams
  • Excellent customer service skills with ability to resolve customer grievances promptly and to a high standard
  • Strong team leadership experience and ability to coach, guide and mentor staff members to succeed
  • Strong communication, organisational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment
  • Knowledge of WHS requirements to provide a safe work environment, with focus on compliance and best practice
  • Knowledge of Hotel Property Management Systems (OPERA) and Microsoft Office suite of products is advantageous
