Job Description:Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia's future.Downer Professional Services is comprised of two business units, our Technical, Advisory, and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer, a major service partner to Defence. Together, we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security.We currently have an opportunity for a Business Analyst in Canberra to work on a Gate Review project.What You'll DoThis role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

Perform critical examination and analysis of issues impacting Defence capability, incorporating all recognised fundamental inputs to capability.
Develop concise and well-structured briefs for Capability Gate Reviews
Establish and manage communities of interest to support collaboration and knowledge-sharing on identified capability issues.
Collaborate with a small team of assessment specialists

What You'll Bring

Experience in analysing Defence capability issues and contributing to strategic decision-making processes.
Experience preparing and presenting briefs for high-level Defence committees
Experience establishing and managing communities of interest or stakeholder groups to support capability development or issue resolution.

Due to the nature of the work, you are required to currently hold and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 2 or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth.
