- Coordinate and liaise with all event day contractors and suppliers to brief, manage, and debrief (including but not limited to venue, caterers, security, ticketing, first aid, police, broadcasters, and casual/promotional staff).
- Deliver, in conjunction with stakeholders and presentation partners, the running of the event from gates open to event finish, including internal and external precinct theming, branding, and activations.
- Conduct internal and external event briefings and debriefings with staff, security, police, and other relevant parties as required.
- Oversee general venue set up, bump-in/bump-out schedules, and the entire event day operation.
- Manage accreditation applications and distribution.
- Develop and implement event documentation such as event plans, risk assessments, run sheets, and emergency/risk management plans.
- Act as Chief Warden or Deputy Chief Warden on event days, responsible for control room communication and coordination, including emergency response management.
- Work with ticketing agencies and venue ticketing contacts to develop and implement strategies to optimise attendance and commercial outcomes.
- Oversee ticket builds, category splits, holds, and pricing strategies.
- Manage complimentary ticketing processes and game day box office operations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to determine staffing levels for security, ushers, and casual event staff.
- Coordinate car parking lists for VIPs, sponsors, players, referees, staff, media, and broadcasters.
- Liaise with teams and their departments (home and away teams) regarding operational and match requirements.
- Participate in traffic and transport planning with relevant agencies.
- Ensure compliance of contractors with WHS requirements (insurance, licences, inductions, etc.).
- Prepare, track, and reconcile event budgets and costs, ensuring financial accountability.
- Manage reconciliation of venue and event day expenses.
- Collate and track all post-event debrief items from functional areas and event partners.
- Prepare post-event evaluation reports.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders departments and community and fan experience teams from the clubs to implement match day activities.
- Work with sponsors to deliver contractual activations and promotional activities.
- Respond to enquiries, complaints, or feedback relating to the event experience.
- Assist with operational improvements to continually enhance the event day experience.
- Tertiary qualification in Event Management or similar.
- Strong communication, literacy and numeracy skills.
- Writing skills to a high standard.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to simultaneously coordinate multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong IT skills and competency in Word, Excel and Outlook.
