The school opened in 2007, has approximately 634 students, and is part of the South Metro Educational Region.Find out more about our school by visiting orThe RoleAs a Gardener – Handyperson, you will work enthusiastically to provide gardening, grounds, and facility management, keeping the school grounds to a high standard. In addition to maintaining and presenting the school grounds and gardens in an attractive, clean, and tidy condition, you will ideally provide a suitable growing environment for both soft and hard landscaping, including turf management.You will ideally have a passion for gardening and understand the needs of an active school community and be able to maintain tools and horticultural equipment in a serviceable condition, in accordance with the Department’s policies and guidelines.Our community takes great pride and care of all our school facilities which include our impressive produce gardens and kitchen, where our children discover how fruit and vegetables are grown, harvested, cooked and best of all eaten. Students are often seen caring for our chickens or our fish in the aquaponics area.The successful applicant, under direction from the Senior Gardener, will play an integral role to the ongoing development and maintenance of our produce garden. This will include propagation of seasonal stock and cultivation of growing beds. In addition, the successful applicant will perform minor repairs and maintenance as requested, as well as other gardener/handyperson duties as required.
