My client is a fast-growing manufacturing company on a mission to deliver products that are not only high-quality and reliable but also sustainable and future-focused. Their success is powered by innovation, strong customer partnerships, and a culture where employees are supported to thrive and make an impact.They are now seeking an Immediately Available Collections Officer to join their finance team on a temp to perm basis. In this role, you will be responsible for proactively managing outstanding debt, maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring the business maintains a healthy cash flow position.Your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

Proactively contacting customers to follow up on overdue accounts and negotiate repayment solutions
Responding to inbound requests and queries from both internal stakeholders and external customers - mixture of calls and emails
Building and maintaining strong customer relationships through clear and professional communication
Developing and implementing payment plans that deliver positive outcomes for both the customer and business
Maintaining accurate records of all customer interactions, payment plans, and allocations
Preparing and issuing final notices where required
Processing and allocating customer payments in a timely and accurate manner

As the ideal candidate, you will have:

Strong experience in Collections or Accounts Receivable with a focus on debt management for 3+ years
Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to diffuse difficult conversations
Proven ability to build trust and maintain positive customer relationships
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Proactive, solutions-driven mindset with the ability to work independently
A collaborative team player with a customer service focus
