A permanent full time position commencing 27 January 2026. The successful applicant will be required to lead a team of committed professionals in the Creative and Performing Arts Faculty.The role of Middle Leader exists to support the Principal in implementing the College vision and mission, to support growth in faith and improvement in learning for students and assist the College Executive in the conduct and organisation of the school.ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIAThe preferred applicant demonstrates the following criteria:
  • Has a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to academic excellence and a sound knowledge of contemporary approaches to pedagogy including the nature of assessment and differentiated learning.
  • Builds a learning culture of shared responsibility for quality teaching and student learning growth, informed by data.
  • Displays an ability to lead learning and foster innovation and creativity in a collaborative environment.
  • Has a comprehensive understanding of NESA requirements and a proven ability to implement effective teaching programs.
  • Knowledge and understanding of requirements of all courses within the relevant KLA.
  • Proven success in Stage 6 CAPA.
DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIAThe ability to teach Religious Education and/or Studies of Religion may be an advantage.The following GENERAL CAPABILITIES are applicable to the role:
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organisational skills.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Appropriate qualifications for teaching courses within the CAPA KLA to HSC Level.
  • Level C Accreditation aligned in accordance with to 'Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in Systemic Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Wollongong' policy or a commitment to gain within the first contractual period.
  • NESA Accreditation at Proficient Teacher level or above.
