This is 260 bed major regional hospital. Having state of the art facilities the hospital has been undergoing a number of redevelopment projects at a cost of $324 million the last of which are due to be completed later this year. The projects have included the construction of a regional cancer centre, a new Emergency Department, Rehabilitation Unit, Maternity and Paediatrics Unit, Dialysis Unit, and a Learning and Development Centre, together with the consolidation of a number of outlying services into the main Hospital complex.The Position
Your role will be to work as an ED Registrar/PHO within an emergency department that is the main referral hospital for the region. The local area has a population of approximately 250,000 and the department has approximately 47,000 attendances each year with an admission rate of 25%. They deal with the full spectrum of emergency care with trauma and resuscitation a core component of the work along with the management of routine emergency/urgent patient presentations.Your Profile
- You must have at least 12 months ED experience and hold current registration with AHPRA or be eligible to apply for registration via the competent authority pathway.
