- Our Casual roles require flexibility and reliability with opportunity to gain experience across a variety of service attendant areas in Karratha.
Service attendants are hospitality-minded specialists that help improve quality of life for village residents living and working away from home:
- Housekeeping/cleaning accommodation rooms (aka “dongas”)
- Assisting in the kitchen and dining room service areas - food handling and food preparation required
- Mine site cleaning of offices, crib rooms and ablution blocks
- Providing customer service in the tavern or retail shop
- Maintaining cleanliness of outdoor areas and common areas
Working on the mines can be very rewarding but it isn't for everyone. Consider what to expect and what is required of you when assessing your options:
- It is a prerequisite for this role that candidates are currently residing in Karratha
- You will be required to obtain a National Police Check, should you not have one dated within the last 6 months
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, day or nights as required
- Ability to endure remote environments in extreme weather conditions
- Ability to multi-task and assist across areas with a positive teamwork approach
- Ability to understand the requirements of safe work and safety protocols
- Ability to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug & alcohol screening
- Unrestricted Australian working rights
- Transport to/from site
