- Financial analysis and due diligence for the proposed transaction
- Development of strategic growth options and acquisition strategies for clients
- Preparation of acquisition / carve out business cases for review by key stakeholders
- Pre-deal advisory work including strategy design and articulation, market and target assessment, structured problem solving and strategic decision making
- Development of integration / separation strategies to extract maximum value from the transaction including operating model design and change management
- Execution of the transaction, including the negotiation of Transitional Service Agreements, blueprinting and Day-1 (Completion) readiness planning
- End-to-end project management of large-scale transactions
- Contribute to practice and business development activities e.g. through the development of thought leadership material and/or sales materials
- Supporting junior staff to operationalise the deal process for clients through knowledge of the M&A lifecycle and excellent project management skills
- Bachelor's degree or post graduate qualification (e.g. CA / CFA / MBA)
- 3+ years advisory/consulting experience, ideally from a Big 4, strategy or boutique consulting firm or the internal strategy function of a large corporate - this is provided as a guidance only, please don't let it limit you, if you feel you have something to add to our team
- Natural aptitude to problem solving and structured thinking
- Strategy toolkit
- Experience with the broader deal-oriented process and environment
- Excellent financial and analytical skills
- Articulate communication and confident presentation skills
- Pragmatic commercial acumen - able to identify risks and develop solutions to manage those risks
- Demonstrated ability in structuring complex problems into discrete components and communicate these to the team
- Demonstrated ability working in a fast-paced environment and willingness to deal with ambiguity and change
- Project management experience in planning, overseeing and leading large-scale projects to completion
