This is an exciting opportunity to combine analytical expertise with procurement insight to support decision-making, improve supplier performance, and identify strategic opportunities.About the RoleAs a Procurement and Supply Chain Analyst, you will work collaboratively with stakeholders across the business to deliver actionable insights, manage procurement projects, and contribute to improved commercial outcomes. This role transforms data and insights into clear, actionable recommendations and confidently leads analysis-driven initiatives to optimise costs, enhance supplier performance and strengthen risk management.To be successful in this role you will be analytical, detail-oriented, and commercially astute, with a passion for transforming data into strategy. You combine technical capability with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. You may come from a procurement, finance, commercial, supply chain, or data analyst background.Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse procurement and supply chain data to uncover cost-saving opportunities, supplier performance trends, and sourcing risks.
- Develop dashboards, reports and insights to support procurement planning, decision-making, and strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with operational stakeholders to validate data, understand business needs, and guide improvements in procurement practices.
- Support vendor performance tracking and contract compliance through data validation and reporting.
- Support the implementation of procurement technology solutions and reporting tools.
- Provide commercial analysis to assess sourcing options, evaluate tenders, and develop business cases.
- Support the preparation of reports and briefing papers as required.
- Contribute to the development and monitoring of KPIs to measure procurement effectiveness and supplier value.
- Support procurement delivery through data modelling, market analysis and stakeholder engagement.
- Promote innovative sourcing approaches and supplier arrangements based on evidence and forward-looking data/trends.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong analytical and commercial thinking - able to interpret data and develop recommendation.
- Ability to present complex information concisely.
- High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and insight.
- Demonstrated experience in procurement, commercial, finance or supply chain environments.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in business, commerce, analytics, supply chain or similar field.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong project support or project management capability.
- Experience using enterprise software such as Workday, SAP, Oracle etc.
- Experience working in large, complex or decentralised organisations.
- Knowledge of inventory systems used in transport or maintenance-heavy industries (e.g., Freeway, TIMS, Maximo, etc.)
