About the OpportunityIf you don't have experience in administration or insurance, please apply anyway - we are wanting someone with a great attitude, who is willing to learn on the job, where you will be well supported by a warm and engaging team.The opportunity will involve interactions with interactions with claimants at various stages of their claim journey, such as at first notification of loss, resolving dissatisfaction that may have arisen, etcWhilst we would prefer someone with insurance/claims management experience, we are open to hearing from you if you do not have a claims or insurance background; essentially, we are looking for customer service/retail/call-centre superstars who are open to learning the fundamentals of insurance (on the job) and have the mindset of building a career in insurance.NB: The internal position title is Business Services Consultant.About You

Key Requirements

  • Previous experience in claims/general insurance environment (desirable)
  • Thorough knowledge of insurance terminology, practices and conditions (desirable)
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first contact triage support and advice to Customers with respect to their claims, whilst also setting loss reserves and controlling claim costs
  • Support Customers experiencing vulnerability
  • Prepare, review and/or issue documentation to key clients and/or customers in conjunction with or on behalf od Adjusters
  • Examine documentation, including claims forms, policies and endorsements, client instructions and other records to determine coverage and claims management strategies from a triage perspective
  • Occasionally progress claims that can be managed from desktop by conducting relevant analysis including physical damage details, interviewing insureds, and comparing claim information with evidence
  • Complete a suite of what happens next documentation for various stakeholders including loss adjusters, Insured, Insurers and Contractors by collecting and summarising information required
  • Intake, distribution, follow up and respond to escalations / complaints received from key clients
  • Preparation of General Insurance Code of Practice breach reviews and timelines for key clients
  • General Insurance Code of Practice data integrity audits
  • Open complaint reviews to identify opportunities to resolve and progress contentious claims
  • Preparation of monthly and ad hoc complaint and General Insurance Code of Practice reports for key clients
  • Adhere to General Insurance Code of Practice and relevant regulatory requirements
  • Adhere to insurer client Service Level Agreements, Key Performance Indicators and processes
  • Update Crawford Claims Management system(s) and any other as required
  • Ad hoc administrative functions
