Senior Planning Officer: Brisbane or Cairns
Rate: upto $83 ph
Duration: 12months with possible extensionAre you a strategic planner with a passion for driving meaningful change in communities? My client is seeking two experienced Senior Planning Officers to join their team in either Brisbane or Cairns. This is an exceptional opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of educational infrastructure across Queensland, with a strong focus on creating culturally responsive and fit-for-purpose outcomes for all communities. The RoleAs a Senior Planning Officer, you'll be responsible for providing portfolio oversight and reporting for key planning projects. Your core duties will include:

Leading co-design activities and stakeholder engagement with communities, particularly with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Supporting the development and implementation of infrastructure projects across the state.
Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in planning practices and tools.
Managing project budgets, preparing high-level reports, and providing expert advice to senior management.

Please note that this role requires some travel to regional areas, including remote communities, which may involve remote driving and light aircraft flights. About YouMy client is looking for a self-starter with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines. You will have a proven track record of building trust and effective relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and you'll be skilled in culturally appropriate engagement strategies.
