We're seeking a Principal - Technical Services & Estimating to lead and influence high-impact projects across our contract mining portfolio.About YouLead technical services and estimating functions across multiple mining projects.Drive operational excellence through innovative mine modelling and productivity initiatives.Mentor and coach technical teams to build capability and deliver value.Collaborate with stakeholders to develop commercially sound and technically robust solutions.Review feasibility studies, optimise schedules and designs, and review operational risk.Excellent knowledge of mining methods and equipment.Strong understanding of operational drivers that enhance productivity, efficiency, and client value.Proven relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Confident, analytical, and proactive approach to problem-solving.Sound knowledge of mine modelling to identify improvement opportunities.Strong commercial acumen and analytical modelling capabilities.Demonstrated coaching and mentoring expertise.Qualifications & ExperienceTertiary qualification in Engineering or related discipline.Minimum 10 years' experience in a contract mining environment.Proven ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.High attention to detail and a track record of developing successful initiatives.Well-developed technical and operational mining skills.Strategic and lateral thinking capabilities.Broader management skills, including business development desired but not required.Passion for innovation and emerging technologies in mining and mining best practice.Previous experience in mine design, technical services and optimisation desired.Employee BenefitsOngoing career development opportunities - Challenge.
