- Advise in respect of a broad range of legal issues e.g. general contract law (shipping line, freight forwarding, logistics, road and rail), leases, IT service agreements, procurement agreements compliance issues, construction/engineering projects, insurance claims and contractual disputes.
- Expertise in drafting and negotiating a broad range of agreements including terminal services agreements with shipping lines, freight forwarding and logistics agreements, commercial and industrial leases, procurement agreements, MoU's, NDA's, customer contracts, works contracts, road and rail access agreements, IT services agreements.
- Identify, research, anticipate and guard company against new and emerging legal risks.
- Advise company in pre, during and post litigation stages.
- Guide managers and ensure compliance with rules and regulations.
- Manage a wide range of transactional matters, including contract review, drafting and negotiation.
- Structure, draft and review reports and other legal documents.
- Willingness and ability to take on leadership roles such as Privacy Officer and Fraud Risk Champion for the business.
- Bachelor of Laws
- Post Graduate Legal Qualification
- Admitted as a Legal Practitioner
- Currently Practicing Certificate

- Ability to drive outcomes through peer and senior management involvement.
- Experience liaising with and advising senior management and executives.
- 8+ years of post-qualification experience; experience working in-house in or on secondment to a business in the shipping, logistics, transport, construction, or other infrastructure industry is preferred.
- Extensive experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating a wide variety of commercial agreements.
- Experience in dealing with regulatory bodies.
- Experience interpreting and applying legislation and regulatory policy.
