- Ensure the precision of financial reporting, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets, with inputs from the finance team.
- Conduct monthly and quarterly financial analyses to verify all accounting information and ensure accurate transaction postings.
- Manage payroll reconciliations, project cost allocations, and develop financial procedures to boost efficiency.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, maintain compliance, and manage the general ledger.
- Oversee the development, monitoring, and reporting of annual budgets and cash flows, assist in budget preparation for proposals, and manage financial performance assessments.
- Direct the annual audit, manage tax filings, and uphold the integrity of financial reporting.
- Oversee the organization’s operational aspects, including IT, administration, and contract management, to enhance efficiency and reporting.
- Mentor and lead the Finance and Administration team, promoting a culture of excellence.
- Collaborate with management and stakeholders, contribute to strategic planning, and represent the organization externally as needed.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Financial Management or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a senior finance role, with a deep understanding of accounting, financial management, and payroll systems.
- Proficiency in IT systems, notably XERO and Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven track record in time management and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the capacity to mentor and develop team members.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively and autonomously.
