How you will contribute to our mission in getting Australia to space:The below is designed to give you an idea of the role you will play. There will be many more exciting and innovative things to do.Develop strategies, policies, and procedures to foster favourable supply agreements and robust supplier relationships.
Build and lead a small team, developing work plans and KPIs to achieve team goals.
Contribute to the strategic and operational plans of the Finance team.
Develop a procurement framework with associated policies and procedures.
Contribute to the development, execution, and enhancement of procurement strategies across all purchasing channels.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on contract negotiations, supplier preferences, and service level agreements.
Conduct research and analysis into market conditions, procurement issues, and best practices.
Accurately record, report, interpret, and analyse expenditure data, identifying opportunities for improvement and monitoring storage and distribution transactions
Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Experience:Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or other technical discipline
5 + years of Procurement experience
2 years of experience in a leadership role
NV1 Security Clearance eligible preferred
Desired Qualifications, Skills and Experience:Technical knowledge in a commodity - For example, raw materials, manufacturing, etc.
Experience in sourcing from a global supply base using various contractual models.
Proven success working on cross-functional new product introduction projects, completing cost models, and negotiating.
Familiarity with ERP systems and purchasing/planning functions.
Exceptional written, verbal and presentation communication skills
Ability to identify and resolve technical, operational, and organizational problems.
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environment.
