About the company:This company are a civil and landscape firm who provide their clients with innovative and cost-effective solutions from the preliminary design stage through to project completion.They are an award-winning Landscape Construction company with 37 years' experience. The company specialise in large scale landscape and civil construction projects for builders, government bodies, developers, architects, and contractors across Canberra, Sydney, Newcastle, Wollongong, Melbourne and BrisbaneKey Responsibilities:

Review of contract documents including scope of works, specifications etc at tender stage.
Develop lump sum pricing / bill of quantities on a range of civil and landscape projects using first principle estimates and open market quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
Risk management and safe construction techniques when developing construction methodologies and programs with construction team.
Manage multiple tenders at any one time.
Evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing and negotiate subcontract terms and conditions.
Estimate and monitor the projects through the construction phase to handover.
Assisting the Construction and Commercial Teams to identify and prepare variations and EOT’s in accordance with the head contract.

Key Experience Required:

Tertiary Education or Landscape Trade Certificate
Proven track record with more than 5 years’ experience in Australia.
Experience working on projects for and working with various private and public sector clients
Ability to interpret drawings.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships with colleagues and clients.
Ability to work in isolation to meet deadlines.
Excellent MS Excel skills with ability to construct MS Excel spreadsheets to suit relevant tenders.
