Based in northern metropolitan Adelaide our client is a is a leading supplier and distributer of valves, pipelines and oilfield products. They are looking for a Engineering Manager to manage their engineering and research and development department.Reporting to the managing director the role is to plan, organise, direct, control and coordinate the design, engineering and testing activities and operations at our Adelaide Engineering Automation and test facility.This includes developing and maintaining software procedures, working with the sales team to provide engineering design support, and assisting and providing oversight of the engineering, machining and test shop.Your responsibilities would include:

Planning, organising, directing and controlling the engineering and technical operations
Oversight and execution of research and development projects
Implementing and monitoring research and development strategies, policies and plans
Complete project work in an efficient and timely manner
Establishing project schedules and budgets
Oversee maintenance and optimise engineering efficiencies
Ensure conformity with specifications plans, ensuring all regulations and safety requirements are met
Provide sales support engineering, documentation, certification, and quality requirements
Technical client liaison in response to our quotations, designs, customisation plus

modification. * Technical CAD drawings, assist in the design and technical CAD drawings of valve and actuation.

Workshop engineering and testing support
Assist Quality Manager with technical quality documentation
Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform
duties and aid to business and organisational development
Liaise with other departments and personal.
Purchase and expedite orders for individual sales (buy ins).
