If you're a driven and motivated Lawyer, looking for a fast paced and supportive work environment, consider advancing your career at Maurice Blackburn Lawyers!Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you'll play a hands-on part in every stage of the legal process, including:
  • Engaging directly with clients to take detailed instructions and build strong relationships
  • Reviewing and interpreting complex records with a critical eye
  • Drafting clear, thoughtful written communications for clients
  • Preparing briefs and liaising with medical experts and allied health professionals
  • Drafting high-quality court documents with precision and care
  • Attending procedural hearings and representing the team in court
  • Collaborating closely with barristers to prepare matters for hearing
QualificationsWe are looking for a Lawyer with strong client service focus, personable approach, and commitment to social justice. You will ideally have at least 2-3 years PAE however if you have a strong desire to forge a career within this space we want to hear from you. In addition, you will have:
  • A valid practising certificate
  • Prior experience working within a Personal injury, Medical Negligence or Litigation environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships and trust
  • An ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent organisational skills, with high attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills, and commitment to drive matters to resolution in a timely manner
  • A strong knowledge of the relevant procedural rules relevant to personal injury practice in Victoria
  • The ability to speak to clients from different backgrounds
  • A solutions focused outlook with a proactive approach to deliver quality outcomes
