As a Fitter at Hastings Deering, you will:Deliver quality service – carry out maintenance and repairs to the highest standard, ensuring every machine is returned to peak performance.Follow best practice – Research and consult the correct and latest service information systems for specific procedures, instructions and specifications.Do it once, do it right – apply quality workmanship and attention to detail that prevents rework, keeps machines running longer, and minimises costly downtime.Work efficiently – manage your time effectively to complete assigned tasks within target deadlines while maintaining safety and ensuring quality.Keep customers in the loop – involve customers in key decisions on major repairs or replacements, and provide clear, timely updates on job progress.Back genuine parts – promote and support the use of genuine Caterpillar parts, offering trusted advice to help customers maximise the performance and reliability of their equipment.Who are we and why work with us?Hastings Deering is proud to be one of the top 5 Caterpillar dealerships globally. A successful teammate will have experience in:Relevant Trade qualificationIndustry experience in earthmoving, construction, quarrying and open cut miningWell-developed communication and customer service skills.The ability to work autonomously and as a team as required.Demonstrated and proven ability with electronic devices.Experience on Caterpillar Diagnostic and information systems (ET, Vims, SIMSi and SIS)Commitment to a high level of workplace health and safety.Your ability to work under pressure during peak periods is essential.Previous OEM or dealership experience will be seen as advantageous.Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident applicants only (we are unable to accept applications from candidates who are temporary residents)Interested?
