Create impact as a Corporate Communications Principal 12-month contractJoin the largest insurance group in Australia and New Zealand.YOUR ROLEAn exciting opportunity has become available to join our corporate affairs team, helping to protect and promote IAG's purpose, performance and reputation with the media and external stakeholders.You will take a proactive approach when it comes to dealing with the media and responding to day-to-day media enquiries and company issue's that may impact IAG and its customer brands - including NRMA Insurance, CGU and WFI - reputations.You will build strong relationships with the media and external influencers to increase transparency and trust between IAG and the public.Critical to your success in this role you will be experienced in a senior corporate & financial communications role or as a Senior Journalist.Applications close April 23.59 AESTABOUT YOU
  • Excellent and persuasive written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Ability to produce communications strategies, media releases and supporting materials for IAG, its brands and leaders.
  • A deep understanding of the way external stakeholders - particularly media, governments and consumer and community advocates operate.
  • Initiative, curiosity, and a can-do attitude.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to actively keep abreast of changes in the external environment.
  • Courage and ability to challenge and influence ideas and executives.
  • Experience in a large, complex, issues rich, highly regulated company or industry preferred.
  • Tertiary qualification in communications/ journalism/ law or associated fields.
