
Health & Safety Officer in the Fit Out sector

- A comprehensive understanding of H&S systems and programs as well as Risk Management principles
- Ability & previous experience using ‘Procore’
- Suggest improvements to working processes
- Lead company health and safety meetings, between delivery and management teams
- Ensure staff understand safety procedures
- Check equipment is safe
- Ensure health and safety, environmental and quality standards are met on-site
- Compile statistics for reports and presentations
- Monitor environmental impacts
- Develop and review safety policies and procedures
- Advise and train staff on best working practices
- A comprehensive knowledge of the requirements of H&S legislative agencies, relevant legislation, Codes of Practice, Australian Standards and Guidelines
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a Health & Safety role
- SafeWork NSW “White Card”
- Tertiary qualifications at degree or associate diploma in HSE, or equivalent relevant experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of conceptual and problem-solving skills
